As usual, the best sharing research team on HC.
I have been watching but not up to speed on all the posts since April last year when
I cashed out but definately on board now.
Sorry I could not find where this aspect has been covered.

Are the words as simple as this:?
Icewine 1 went to 11,600 feet vertically and found a billion barrels of oil available.
Icewine 2 planning 10,710 feet vertically from 50 feet away on the same gravel pad
to find out the best way of extracting the oil by various means.
The drill crew should have the log details of Icewine 1 and would know foot by foot
exactly what to expect at every part of the hole.

Nearly all the vagaries and doubt of the first hole and all its unknowns now dont exist
as we have drilled this almost exact hole a year ago successfully and found lots of oil.
This well drills the same until we get to the bottom......then we study what the go is,
then conduct tests to see if the oil will flow commercially.

Meanwhile, we dont expect the SP erosion while drilling and wondering that Icewine 1
endured because a substantial part of the play is already Derisked.
We know precisely what we will find when we get down there. Its just that this time
we are going to do some different things to create oil flows.

I hope this is correct cos it sounds really simple.
