About the business and the role
The Company, Ardea Resources Limited, has recently completed a listing on the ASX following the successful raising of over $5m for exploration for its major projects.  These include the largest undeveloped Cobalt resource in Australia (near Kalgoorlie in WA) and a number of exciting Gold and Base Metal properties in WA and NSW.
The role of Senior Geologist - Goldfields will be to implement and oversee the Company's field programs to ensure safe and efficient execution and completion of programs, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.


Job tasks and responsibilities
The role will include managing the day-to-day field programs being undertaken by the Company throughout the Goldfields of Western Australia. Being based in Kalgoorlie, the successful applicant will be required to take instruction from Perth office to undertake and/or oversee field programs that will be ongoing for the foreseeable future. Job responsibilities are likely to include:

• coordination and supervision of drill programs
• logging and sampling of drill core and chips
• ensuring all Company activities proceed in a safe and timely manner
• field soil and rock chip sampling
• field mapping
• liaison with stakeholders
• show visitors and investors around project sites
• interaction with the Dept of Minerals and Petroleum as required
• other duties as may arise from time to time

Being the main company representative based in Kalgoorlie, you will, from time to time, be required to perform other duties that will forward the Company's business interests.


Skills and experience
Must have the following skills and experience:

• a Geology degree
• >10 years exploration experience
• Driver's licence
• 4WD experience

Must have Goldfields exploration experience
Experience with lateritic nickel-cobalt mineralisation will be highly regarded.

5m @38g/t Au near surface drill intercept
Extensive historic workings over several hundred meters
- 2 sides of valley that recently yielded numerous gold nuggets
- Gold extends under alluvial cover?



3. Big Four Gold project, WA
Here are the drill intercepts from 2012 HRR drill results.......Pretty widespread and deep gold intercepts from 14m depth down to 131m at good grades. This is now part of ARL.
