With the pdf format of company announcements I've also reverted to the version 4 which is far less memory hungry and works fine from IE on a mac.
I'm not too happy with company announcements now being in pdf because many are locked ...... some are scanned in images of text ... even worse.
Adobe upgrades after version 4 seem to have used an enormous amount of what seems very poor code which takes an eternity to load. ie seems more like a downgrade. I still use their earlier photoshop even though I have version 6 ..... for the same reason.
