Disagree - At what point would the proposed danger become real? 10;20% of the population. Will take generations for Muslims to reach those levels of the population and in that time the cultural norms will impact on the future generations.
Having said that I do believe that financing religious schools (of any persuasion) promotes the very separation you highlight. The aim I would have thought is to integrate immigrants into mainstream culture assimilating the best of their original culture while discarding those aspects that do not work in Aus. My view is that that begins in the public schoolyard which influences the development of all future immigrant generations.
PS. There is too much angst and political point scoring for this to gradually creep up.
