@h00ts is your man for the tape read. I'm out of this type of tape analysis yonks ago. Personally bid/ask stacks are not reliable when the stock is so liquid and neither is looking at BHP stacks gives any indication otherwise.

The chart representation give an entirely 'different' picture and you could flip the 5M or even less to get a more accurate representation of the psychology of trader's behavior today. Whatever issues the market is reacting, if you are a LTBH then forget looking at the daily price action. You will only do your head in and generate stress. Better off looking for ways to hedge your positions which is an easy action but a difficult thing to achieve except in hindsight like anything in life!

You just need to know why you are buying, holding or selling. Everything else is just noise. Unfortunately for me the one I was looking for entry has taken off against expectation and there will be missed opportunity. I would caution averaging down but that is just me so good luck. As you can see I took a punt and average down on second entry here, only a few cents difference but failed.
