I wonder whether the true casualties of Iraq and Afghanistan[and any more that may get involved] is the US unemployement rate; add to that the US economy. If the economy was booming the US public would probably go along with the wars, but as it affects them at home through their pockets we may see the position change. The countries standing back and watching the US bleed no doubt have their own reasons and hope to gain from their non involvement. A big game being played out and war deaths are not important to the players.
