A non renouncable rights issue is an event brought on by the company to raise capital.
It differs from a cr in that only current holders are able to purchase the shares (rights) this is a way to allow holders to increase their position at minimal cost.
It differs from a renouncable rights issue because in the event of a renouncable rights issue holders are able to sell their right to buy shares to non holders on the market.
The company decides the details but usually every holder has a right to buy 1 share for every 5 they hold at the time of the issue.
