Wabbit back in 1962 the average house price in the UK was 2,672 (pounds) and the average salary was 799 (pound). The average house price back then was 3.3 times the average salary.
Today in Sydney the average house price is approx $1.2M and the average salary is including OT etc is $80K.
The average house price now is 15 times the average salary.
So now its way harder and almost impossible for first time home buyers to buy a property in Sydney unless they have well off parents or very well paid jobs.
