those shares are advertised at 40c which values JMS at north of 850m not 290m as there are approx 2.15b shares in issue after the buyback, I think that figure is an old valuation from the accounts.
I agree I think it is a few private investors who simply do not want to wait, 25% discount to the buy back seems reasonable given it is a private company and not as easy to trade.
12 months ago these where being sold for 10c-12c so 4 times that is no bad deal if you dont want to wait.
All the major players in the industry have bid for Tshipi (its in the article) as its the jewel in the crown and will be the largest low cost manganese mine in the world in a few years time and has a life of at least 60 years even at 4m tons per yer which I beleive is the medium term target.
