You are very correct - one very small glasshouse experiment (badly conducted) is not very convincing evidence of efficacy - we need to wait for extensive field trials in mulitple locations by a reputable and internationally recognised agricultural research institute such as CSIRO Plant Industry/Agriculture.
Imagine if a small drug company published a press release stating that a compound reduced cancer in one of two mice - would you invest your hard earned $ based on such information?
