It is a section About Thred. So when you tap Thred on FB or Thred on Twitter this is meant to take you to Threds FB & Twitter pages. That is all it's meant for. It's not meant to be where you go to surf social so it won't be moved out of where it's meant to be which is in the About Thred section. If you are going here to surf then "you're doing it wrong" but hey if it keeps you from deleting the app I say go for it!

Based on limited functions in V1 I really feel like they are promoting with the wrong slogan at this point.
They have had "Sharing made easy" & "Connecting your connections" & "One App for All". Given it's a Soft Launch and doesn't operate currently at a more holistic level I think "Connecting all your connections" should be it. Save the "One App for All" until just before global launch. This will be the reason I'm sure many will download on expectation of a more thorough app then delete. That doesn't automatically mean they won't come back at some point in the future once more functions are built in if and when market traction builds. Thred need to keep reinventing themselves every day. If launched as connecting your connections then the expectation is met immediately given contact aggregation works across major platforms. Then any features beyond that are a welcome surprise (unspruiked) and will start to build the stickiness.

To me download numbers now should not be the critical focus point. Yes downloads downloads downloads! But downloads won't get you sticky users and less under current fiunction/feature set. Company needs to ignore the noise on here from people hating. They need to solely focus on continuing to build out features and functions in respect of how Thred can best integrate the aspects of what people love about using their favourite social platforms improving on how people currently communicate etc across their digital lives.

There's the bare bones for Instagram atm but no FB or Twitter internal feeds.

Thats what I was getting at re getting into facebook via the about thred link instead of via a currently unavailable channel link, functionality is there, almost working perfectly, needs a tweak or two and a thredish app type interface and all good.

It is happening in other words and the bones are there for all to see.
