The Financial Times is telling the truth....you'll get nothing but propaganda from many other sources & Skol. It's a retail apocalypse, with more earnings this week from retail heavyweights. These poor earnings will hit the Dow hard, as retail is the bed-rock of the US services based economy.

"Online competition" translates to me as China. Every time I buy an item from an Aussie looking site, it arrives from China!
