    USD is valued in Gold. Not vice versa.

    So Australians who go and buy Gold are paying USD locally are they(?)

    Same with Gold shares, USD on the ASX is it(?)

    AUD - local Fiat - often has more relevance in this part of the world than Imperial USD Fiat.
