    Many thanks for your email to us. Please find our answers to your questions below.

    Tata Communications licensed a white-labelled version of the Syntonic Connected Services Platform. This platform is a core component of the Tata Sponsored Data Exchange. Beyond that I’m not at liberty to comment on Tata’s products or roadmap. However, it’s a reasonable assumption that anything involving sponsored data at Tata is related to our license technology.

    Billaway is a source of potential offer inventory for Freeway. They are very early stage.

    The SDK is a component of our infrastructure solution that we license to carriers and content providers. It’s not the Freeway service, i.e. our first-party direct-to-consumer service. As a result, how the content provider or carrier decides to monetize their offer is their choice. Our SDK bifurcates the network traffic so that the data is not counted against the consumer’s data plan. The content provider can then enable various means of content monetization, e.g. ads, incentivized actions, subscription and variations on these themes.

    As for the Freeway OTT service, it will be subscription based initially.

    Unfortunately, we can’t discuss much about Verizon’s business and intentions regarding the Syntonic licensed technologies. We can remark that Verizon’s data-free and sponsored data services will be using the Syntonic platform technologies for which the Company generates a per app per month royalty. Yes, the CSP can accommodate any datatype, live or on-demand.

    Overall our app ratings have been trending up in every deployed geography. We do receive a minority of negative reviews that can be classified into 3 main categories:

    1. Terminated users because we determined they were abusing, misusing, or fraudulent.
    2. Attempting to use in countries where we currently don’t support the service. There was a prominent LATAM blog written about Freeway that resulted in downloads in various LATAM countries outside of Mexico. We have since blocked the Freeway availability in the Playstore for all non-supported geographies.
    3. Pacing of new offers: we typically update the store with 1 - 2 new offers per day per region. Given that most of the offers take more than a day to complete under ‘normal’ engagement, the majority of these negative reviews had significant queues of active offers. Again, these complaints represent only a minority of the overall users; however, we monitor closely all feedback and will grow our offers as we grow our offer inventory.

    Regarding your Freeway concerns---We have 3 business segments at Syntonic: infrastructure (CSP, SDK) licensing, Freeway (sponsored and soon subscriptions), and DataFlex (subscription). These are all transformative new technology and businesses. We can delivery on all these businesses, because they all assume the same highly leveraged, underlying technology. We are in the early stages of a highly diversified business when revenue from each accrues at different time scales and where some components will not realize their potential immediately. We appreciated your patience as our revenue clearly is growing.

    Great questions. It is a rather logical conclusion that with OTT, we are entering into the space dominated by deep pocket media companies. We are not competing with them; rather, we are offering them a means for monetizing their mobile assets. We don’t see the Verizon channel conflict as necessarily bad for Syntonic as we get paid regardless. We differentiate our first-party service with a larger addressable, cross-carrier audience for content providers. Over time, the big vision is to achieve sufficient scale with our globally-deployed, content services network where premium content providers pay Syntonic for its targeted audience reach.

    We are starting with the U.S. market because of the immediate scale it provides. However, we intend to take these services international thereafter. We also recognize the substantial cost to build and establish a consumer brand.

    We are confident OTT is a significant business opportunity for which Syntonic is uniquely positioned to capture.

    It might read a bit weird, that's because they highlighted part of my email and responded to them, which i then edited out. A lot of the responses are quite cookie cutter, but NDAs are NDAs. I'd rather be invested in a company wrapped up in NDAs then in a company who can't get the attention of companies requiring NDAs to operate. As nighthawk stated above, Verizon have been doing some serious shopping, and are poised for a Summer launch in America (June).
