Stunning yields from their walnuts. Up from 2.9 tonnes per hectare last year to 5.4 tonnes per hectare (up 86%).
Admittedly the 2016 yields were adversely affected by weather-related pollination issues, but the year before that (2015) they were around 3.6 tonnes per hectare. So the jump to 5.4 is extraordinary imo. A 27% increase in orchard area this year too.
Cotton yields are down from last year, but more than offset by a larger area under cultivation. Substantially higher cotton prices over the last 12 months (up from US61c to 82c) will help the bottom line.
