These things start slowly, but the stock was sold down heavily as the crisis deepened..(ok it had already multi-bagged), but the point is, many investors are wary of West African politics,, and sell at the slightest sniff of unrest (as we have here).
This should help explain why COP sold so 'cheaply'.... to WPL.... if this political unrest 'blows up', the purchase will not look so cheap... merely 'fair value' taking onboard ALL the risks. These political scraps have a habit of taking months to years to resolve.
CNE got belted down to a 1 year low on open last night, then recovered a fraction, but still is in a technical death spiral to 1.70-1.80 imo.
FAR has held up quite well, considering....so far today..imo.
