My thoughts on the meeting:
NASDAQ may slip but only a month or two. They've done all that has been asked of them by NASDAQ.
It's hard for US investors to buy aussie shares, according to Mark. Harder than you would think. NASDAQ will be good for SP.
Customer numbers down. Not because of retention issues, but a strategic choice. They have so much to do for existing customers that they'd rather focus on much larger customers of 20-50m with higher margin than 1-2m. Makes sense and fully explains the discrepancy between some previous reports and the Petra report. They're no longer chasing tiny low margin business. They want to get to profitability as soon as possible.
No aussie pillows yet. Can't service everyone straight away.
What Dr Bob's team is working on, on a daily basis. Sometimes 50/50 on individual customer needs and sometimes skews 70/30. Not much time to work on the next big thing. Bob has five or so big ideas that are shelved for now. More resources to rush these to market? No... Don't rush. Get it right, and certainly not more resources until they are Cashflow positive. No issues with succession. Four very capable people under Bob. He's able to travel to see shareholders and not have to worry about stuff back home.
Alexiflam NF. Will be huge. We're the only one with this ability and the market is crying for it.
UL certification. They don't see any issues. So far, they remain in certification. They want to be in cellphones.
Military. Contrary to what Nick stated somewhere, the margins will NOT be low. This was a stand-out in my mind. There was some sell off previously when Nick stated that.
Flame retardant wood!
Gavin acknowledged there had been mistakes in giving timelines/guidance and they are working hard to ensure that they are better moving forward.
Toll manufacturers are the key to having a low cost business. They are VERY careful about protecting IP.
I got the feeling that they are ramping up in a very big way. It's been slower than anticipated for money to roll in, but I now believe that they have built and continue to build something that will be sustainable and very profitable for shareholders.
Overall, they all seemed very confident, and I am too.
