Pedantics maybe but I believe the whole mess in the middle east has been mismanaged (something to which I know you agree to a point) from start to finish.
I still don't know how a country can legally deport one of its own citizens, he has either committed a crime and should be brought to justice or allowed to roam free. These are fundamental human rights.
