But even if we accept your religious definition, it still applies very much to you Mogga. Since 'the practice of claiming to have higher standards or more noble beliefs than is the case' is exactly what you do every time you challenge (well perhaps not challenge since that gives you a level of credibility you have yet to earn or reveal) so instead I will say every time you attempt to dismiss the centuries of medical discovery. What arrogance doth you possess. Only a person who claims to have higher standards than the many medical specialists who actually work in the field of medicine – would play such semantic games in a doomed attempt to cover what is nakedly evident in its appalling lack to the rest of us.
You reveal yourself as being rather ludicrous with most of your claims. And equally a hypocrite because you challenge, well attempt to undermine medical orthodoxy but never defend your arguments or assertions with logical and proper medical analysis. You refuse to test your evidence further once it is shown to be wrong or based on an ignorant understanding of how the human body deals with, in most instances of discussion, antigens.
Go back and answer some of the many basic medical questions you have been asked. Or better still go away and actually learn a few basic medical facts. You might then see how and why a few posters consider you to be the thread's childish fop.
Equally, you might then understand why you bemuse aplenty with some of your dangerous assumptions (still waiting for you to apologise to all the parents who were grossly mislead by your false claim on breast milk). You are a telling example of why the internet is such a fool's paradise.
