I was wondering where the 5 mil Judas Shorts that triggered the Big Short came from. I think this was already set in motion on 31/3/2017. Look at this post from TobyJack

In the first post I think there was about a negative 3 mil shares in that holders in an outs around the end of March,
In the second post there was a straight negative 2 mil shares.
If my maths are correct that adds up to 5 mil shares, someone around 31/3/2017, got a pool of 5 mil borrowed shares ready to do his or her dastardly work.
So what happened in May had already been prepared for on 31/3/2017
