Eagle, Islam is like Christianity in that it describes many different religions under the same umbrella.
For example; catholics, protestants, mormons, Eastern Orthodox, Latin Church, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. all come under Christianity.
Just like Kharijite Islam, Shia Islam, Sunni Islam, Kalām, Ibadi, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. all come under Islam..
You can't equate ISIS etc. to Islam. Its like saying all christians are Mormons. There are over 1.2billion Muslims in the world and the vast majority are fine people. Family orientated people no different to us.
The real problem we face with islam is the powers using these groups to build proxy armies like the Mujahideen. These people rampaging through the ME are doing so for a wage not for a God. The get wages just like our soldiers. Now the question remains who is paying those wages.
