Hey Tony, despite you giving me the shites occasionally I have come to the conclusion that you are the bloke who goes to a meeting and asks the awkward questions no one else will touch!
In my case I have decided to wait for the inevitable end which I see as some time away. I don't foresee a T/O any time soon by anyone.....at least not until CNE have achieved their goal of proving up as much of SNE before they go to market. At this point I think FAR's share could become more valuable because as I pointed out the other day, WPL don't believe you can PE a holding company, so who ever has a crack at CNE can do so without fear of losing any % to PE....same with FAR.
I believe that WPL may well rue the day Peter Coleman did that interview.
What it boils down to is if CNE sell 20% and FAR's 15%, via their holding companies, gets cleaned up in the process it won't surprise me if the deal includes the operatorship.
The best part about this possible outcome is CNE will want a premium and they will need FAR's share to give the new entity the votes required to get a majority, 65% I believe, with Petrosen, to hand the operatorship over.
The flip side of this is if WPL see it happening they have no choice but to make a bid for FAR to prevent the operatorship from leaving their grasp.
For anyone who thinks I'm pssing in the wind they are probably right, but one thing I'm certain of is CNE will wring every last dime out of SNE and the operatorship will carry an extra premium. AIMO DB
