USA buys huge amounts of oil from Saudi.......Saudi wants that to continue so buy huge amounts of arms from USA......win win for both.
The Saudi's want to deal to Iran. US economic growth in the first quarter was 0.7% (0.2% if you believe Eurostats).
America is under-going a retail apocalypse, Ford is cutting 10% of their workforce, Trump hasn't got any legislation passed.
He needs a win, and the Saudi's delivered him one with all these infrastructure investments and weapons deals.
Trump can point to this as a big job creator.
In return, Trump washes his hands of Iran and says "do with them what you will". He's touring the region on a "destroy Iran" mission.
The Saudi's knew to pander to his bloated ego by treating him like a rock star and getting him up there to do sword dances. He laid into Obama for bowing to King Salman and accepting that bauble, but he does a curtsy and accepts it as well. What a lying hypocrite!!
