Yes that was my understanding too re the swiss (plenty of time for them to change their mind).
Nuclear is the future. Harmful fission fuels that decay via gamma radiation (emr) only have a half-life of around 24 years after 80 years gamma levels are much reduced (after 500 years nuclear waste has largely lost its gamma emissions). The 80,000 year half life relates to alpha decay (helium nucleus). A helium nucleus (ie alpha particle) can not penetrate a sheet of paper let alone much else.
