The only point I'd make is that in my eyes having directors with a chest full of medals awarded from industry bodies for excellence in mining and gold stars from government for being generally good people means NADA if the SP is in the toilet. The PERFORMANCE I'm interested in remuneration get them for is SP PERFORMANCE only. I'm putting my hard earned up for a capital return, not to bath in the personal brilliance of the people whose wages I pay.
The hope is that one will follow the other, and I'm sure it will and we'll all be happy in the end, but the discussion for remuneration (raising NED remuneration from $500k to $700k per annum) would be easier if the SP was currently higher.
