A deal with FMC or a similar peer in the industry is a win-win in my opinion. It would certainly mitigate my biggest worry about SdV, which is the time required to reach full scale production. It would be quite a while away and I fear it would slow down the great momentum GXY has if we take too long to go from Mt Cattlin + James Bay to SdV.
A profit sharing or JV arrangement seems most likely in such scenario (if a deal with FMC went through). I emphasise 'most likely' because it seems the most obvious option.
I'm leaning towards the outcome that a grander deal is in the works seeing as negotiations for SdV have been ongoing since Q3 2016. It will almost be one year to finalise/come to a decision if the board make a decision in the next three months. Feels a little like the time just before the record pricing announcement. I'm looking forward to what the board can achieve here.
