Mate you need a serious reality check - every taxpayer SHOULD be entitled to a pension as they would have contributed decades of taxes to the system. Reality is because of longer lifespans, increasing retirement base, and chronic gov't wastefullness this can't but needs to be afforded. Even with the likes of super the sad reality is most won't be able to afford retirement and that includes those with a full super paying employment history.
So okay lets get rid of the pension, unemployment benefits, family tax, childcare rebates etc etc and return the extended family unit to supporting each other by that I mean extended family/grandparents assist with the child rearing/looking after while the parents are out at work and grandparents live with their children in retirement and are financially supported by their children if necessary. So much of the costs involved in the system is because of this breakdown of the extended family unit.
