The Bible in many books refers to a men as husbands and women as wives...

eg:1 Sam 18:17...Saul said to David; ..."She is the one I will give to you as a wife"...

Romans 7:2; "...a married woman is bound by Law to her husband while he is alive..."

1 Cor 7:33 "...the married man is anxious for things of the world, how he may gain approval of his wife........34;...the married woman is anxious for the things of the world that she may gain approval of her husband..."

Matthew 24:38 ....For just as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage until the day that Noah entered the ark...

...and many many more excerpts if you care to look. referring to male and female in marriage...if you want to bring up the argument that it doesn't specify male and female...go ahead, but the Bible does not specify dogs or horses as being excluded either!

Personally I haven't read anywhere in the Bible where it refers to two men being married or two women being married...the world we live in was and is largely modelled by Christianity based on the Bible...good or bad.

The unassailable fact is...Male and female were designed to procreate...two men cannot produce a child nor can two women!

Therefore such a union is not logical nor is it sustainable...for the record, I do not support same sex marriage either. I don't care what two blokes or two girls do behind closed doors, they stole the word gay from daily use, do not steal and destroy the marriage word too imo.
