No offence taken...probably the Bible is cited because a large number of opponents would have had a Christian upbringing. Atheists as a rule don't care much either way either.
Homosexuals have been around since Biblical times, nothing new. They have been largely accepted into western society now, can openly live together, can adopt a child, can legally share estates, and don't generally raise an eyebrow anymore.
Our largely Christian society doesn't throw them off roofs or cane them in the public square either...they get a fair go, but they are not giving those that don't agree a fair go that is for certain.
Why the push to "marry" each other for god's sake! What is so important that it brings out such hatred venom and spite among their supporters against those that don't share the view?
