GJ in the spirit of trying to give your weekend forum a bit of support, what about as a topic we do: "Trends, what's not hot!".

It's the role of the STT forum to chase around after hot sectors and in effect to promote them. It might be more approriate for the deep thinkers on this forum to think about what's not hot but can still trend.

What I mean is that a lot of specs and small caps get a run on hotcopper because of sector themes such as cobalt, lithium, fintech whatever. But we know that only a fraction of these are real businesses that can grow over time and trend because of the underlying FA, that they're raising money on the market for sound purposes with both a clear strategy and the ability to execute on it.

At a time when people are saying the spec end is a bit dead and certainly to me the big indexes are an accident waiting to happen, i'm investing in stocks that can thrive in a bear market.

I dont necessarily expect people to post up their quiet little stocks they're accumulating away from the lime light, although happy to hear your case if you wish to, but maybe what are the characteristics of "un-hot" stocks that can multibag in the current market outlook?

Perhaps even an un-hot sector that will never excite the punters but you see an opportunity.
