Doesn't seem to work that way for Muslims - so, why should it work for Christians?
The Catholic church sets itself up as the mouthpiece for God - they even have their head as Gods representative on Earth
they all preach from more or less the same book.
Abusers are not only in the Catholic Church - their crimes are very widespread.
Show me Christian poor and I will show you wealth in a church.
The point is -- the whole religion is but 2000 years old - yet, they think they have the ownership on basic things like marriage laws and rules - who, can, who cannot etc.
They fully accept governments going off to wars -- in the name of their God - and, governments throughout history have done a mile of damage to other humans - using their god as the justification.
All in the name of an imaginary invention which they, themselves wrote a book on -
wow - anyone want indecency ----------- now, THAT's indecent.
Go to the centerpiece of any Church - the Vatican is a beauty --- look at the gold, look at the scale -
then, just think ----------------- whose blood has paid for this?
Sort of realigns and re-frames a thinking persons idea of 'decent'.
So - what has Margaret Court done --------------- started her own church - - and, then, sprouts her ideas using her religion as the justification -
like wow - tell me that's decent
What's next -- a gold pointy hat, a purple robe and some laws??????
