You have to remember that Senegal is very new to the oil game and dealing with leases and big oil interests. They have said they are happy to have WPL on board and given they are not pursuing their own PE rights, they are now saying its between FAR and COP as per the JOA dispute process. A little surprising perhaps but then again as far as we know Senegal has not approved the deal or the transfer of operatorship so until that happens FAR's PE rights are open to be defended.
