I think they will be converted to options in the new company at a equivalent share conversion ratio... Same ratio as the KDR heads are to the takeover company shares for Example, 10 KDR shares gives you 1 XYZ Share, therefore 10 Options will give you 1 option (of similar parameters exercise price etc ) in XYZ Co.

Alternative XYZ Co would use Black Scholes option pricing model to value them and buy them out.
