but its not utterly useless. absolute debt must be serviced esp in a rising rates enviro. Ours is heading south, so your ratios no longer apply (historic). We all operate in the same sector, albeit upstream vs down and diversified so a quick flick of the debt loads helps, esp when comparing to share price perf. No logic that both have hit record highs while we've crashed a MASSIVE 25%, while all other variables are constant, like POO. ORG has ~9bn net debt (4 times our load?! is selling assets etc but share price hits $8!!)....wow...point is, we shouldnt be overly punished by our debt because mr mkt doesnt seem to care about the others nor does it care that ours is being paid down...
