    Alas, the last and only wind investment I had was Pacific Hydro. BBW may be the only current option on the ASX.

    CSM is preferable to coal, as you say, even much more than 30% better in most cases. Same as with conventional gas it is an interim measure while we eliminate coal. I have made good money out of CSM, as I believe you have. Much more to be had too imho.

    As several have alluded to, the future is in distributed generation. Together with the costing of the actual distribution, rather than using averages should open up all the niche opportunities for wind, solar etc, much better than subsidies alone do.

    I admit to currently being lost in terms of identifying a renewables company that I see as a really good investment. Gas as a low C fuel is the best for me so far, with a small dabble in hotrocks. I believe I need to look outside the ASX. Perhaps we should have a thread for European/American/Asian options.
