I think the expectations were for a district scale spodumene mega deposit, which based on first impressions may not be the case. Sure, you may have a few veins identified on the 'ridge' but based on results in other areas, you would think it's an isolated deposit. This is the reason for the lack of SP movement.

I would assume that management are well aware they do not have the time nor funds available to poke holes across the entire jurisdiction looking for spod hence refocusing their efforts on REE. The case now is to determine if it's in sufficient amounts given the extremely high operating cost that operating in a jungle will force. I also unsure if the REE rig can support a separate spodumene train, given the possible differences in crushing etc.

My thoughts are that whist the company may continue exploring the area, it will not be the scale it would have been should they have hit more spodumene. Having said that, it will be interesting to see what the next diamond drill samples provide. If they are lacklustre, it may be the case they walk away given their primary task is to get the OHD to market.
