"They are not selling to increase the register (that cant happen). They are selling so that the tradable shares can be spread across more holders."

The "Share Register" is the register or list of the campanies shareholders!

If they are trying to get "more holders" as you put it, they are trying to increase the total of shareholders on the register.

They HAVE to do this to raise cash, because the shareholder base is just too small at this stage
