No Company in their right mind drills in deep water on their own, even Majors share the risks regardless of the COS...the data room is now open for partners anyway.

However FAR has put itself financially and through its understanding of the Geology, in a very good position to retain a higher WI..perhaps nearer 30-40% and that will depend on how much free carry we want ..with 80% of the lease they have given themselves plenty of leeway for bargaining..

30-40% of something is much better than a 100% of nothing in a game where the risks of failure are high...IMO the key for FAR is to prove up A2 at no cost to themselves and CN has said as much...
