I think you may be missing the point.
You said that A2 was to explore the continuation of sands already proven with the exception that said sands were considerably thicker in A2.
Far are cashed up, the probability of success in A2 is19%, they have a significant reserve upgrade to come out of SNE. and enough cash to see existing situations through to FID.
In addition the reserve upgrades will potentially be large enough to at least negate the effects of the last CR.
Far are explorers (to date). I say why not push on?
Personally though, I believe behind the scenes there is a strong conditional link up to the Chinese.
