Simon..................Good article, but I think this is the Lani (CS8958) that is under the US Government and is going into Trials in the UK, There are 3 Lead compounds (2 with Sankyo)

1. Lani (CS8958)EU under the US in trials in the UK.........that can be fast tracked and pass approvals if needed.

2. Lani (CS8958)JP which has been trialed in Japan by Sankyo for the Japan/Asian market, which does not have to go through the same trials as Lani (CS8958)EU in the UK. Maybe something to do with their regulations?

Lani (CS8958)EU.............stands for Lani Europe.

Lani (CS8958)JP.............Stands for Lani Japan

Lani (CS8958) Flunet.........is a compound with Biota for further studies.

These are the 3 lead compounds and believe there are other follow-up compounds. Hope this makes it a bit clearer.
