If you disregard the 'activist shorter' , its probably the suddenly depleting cash, revised profit forecasts and disappearance of long time CEO that are black marks.

None of these are share price related one would have thought, so arguably nothing to do with the shorters, activists or media.

Whether or not they are to be blamed for shining a light on certain things .. which the company has then clarified, unfortunately most in not-so-positive way.
