If he has done so after considering them and judged no net benefit to the company,... fine .
But , if they were rejected without proper consideration that would be silly .
Management in general are reluctant to give up control of "their baby" whether it makes good sense or not a lot of the time .
Forget the "Tom" .... best not to personalise !
Business is business whichever way you cut it and a T/O or merger of this company whether you agree with it or not is a distinct possibility !
