That is old news and personally not concerning. Hydrogen cars are only being sold in 1 US state. Electric cars, motorbikes / scooters are now used all over the world.
The downside of charging a car isn't necessarily a downside for people who drive less than 300km's per day, which is most people. For those who need greater range they have many choices. But the masses could and do get by on the current electric ranges.

Besides the electric cars, I was in Vietnam and was amazed to see the take-up of electric scooters. In HoChiMin alone there are 7.4 million scooters. Even tourist cars are now electric, they're into EV's more than most western countries..
