But seriously folks, I don't quite get why Woodside made this announcement this morning ( Or am I missing something ? ( LOL )
Last time I heard, FAR had no PE rights, because Woodside bought a company, so why don't Woodside just take over as operator of the JV and get on with it ?
I don't understand how FAR can be accused of holding up the plans for development if they are just a junior partner with no rights ?
If Cairn and Woodside are running this outfit, then let us see them lead the way to first oil.
Here's an idea, they could start by making an official declaration of commerciality, Oh, but wait looks like FAR have already made a statement regarding the commercial viability of the field back on the 1st of September last year ! ( Well worth a look for those that missed it )
Can't wait for Cairn's spin on the situation. ( Or will they join COP in the "cone of silence" )
Just, love FAR to death to be honest, it's the best company I've ever owned. It's like a great book you can't put down, one riveting chapter after another.
I wonder how that that drill at the Southern Fan is going, wouldn't it be grand if they found some more Texas Tea.
Gambian government shouldn't be too far away from giving us the green light on our new prospects there.
Maybe CNOOC could join us in drilling some Gambian water while we wait for Cairn, Conoco Phillips and Woodside to make up their minds as to how they want to proceed with SNE.
Maybe CNOOC could throw out a dummy bid for FAR, just to stir them up a bit.
