I thought I would stay out of the nonsense posted this afternoon but boy there are some complete dills posting in this forum. Some need to go back and have a look at this post by @anatol and the announcement and work out a timeline in your own heads on how this interacts. Here is my timeline for OHD commercialisation, assuming OHD a goer:
    1. Hydroponics is the game changer here as the conditions in the lab/glass house are equal - i.e. no need for field testing in the elements. That is if next week we see hydropinc yield increase this is a game changer and brings into play a host of hydroponic industries - oh and in terms of some negative posters posting here there won't be a debate around the difference in field versus lab results because a greenhouse is controlled conditions. If proven here well this could become a money making machine in itself.
2, Now as to the broad acre trials for wheat and tomatoes, well as I have said in the past even if these results give the same growth as fertilisers but at half the cost well market takeup will occur. This is what some of the negative posters here wanted - field trials - but now they argue blown timelines. For the record I have stated in the past that a pilot would be built before commercialisation plants were established.
    3. PFS and Pilot Plant. They will be on schedule IMO assuming PFS released end June. Why - well the field trials, particularly wheat is going to require OHD product and lots of it so April 2018 is a key date. I suspect the field trials will be large, not on small plots. Any excess product from the pilot plant I think will then be sold to the hydroponic industry. That is an assumption and IMO in this point 3, but equally the excess could be used in other tests.
    4. Commercial delay - that is probably a yes, but not a significant delay, here as I suspect the pilot plant will be developed in a way that units can be added to then become commercial scale. Now to understand this think about a gas fired base load power station and how it is built - you put in a few 100 MW gas units, which are pretty inefficient and generally used as peaking units, then thereafter the addition of more gas units converts that configuration to a 600 MW base load power plant with all the efficiencies of a base load power plant. Now I use a gas example because I can explain it better in my own head because that is where I have had some prior experience in the long distant past, so seeking to show here how you can configure to achieve a commercial goal - that is if the pilot plant for OHD is set up appropriately, it can be scaled IMO to commercial scale but the design and configuration will be the key here and the engineering specifications and interactions of the pilot will be a key design issue to look at when the PFS is released.

    All IMO
