I don't know if you ever read Kfann's posts.
But he did you guys a great favor by researching into COP's SEC filings - and that's a lot of work he did.
And he showed that COP had "removed" the contingent liability surrounding this sale.
That's a Huge statement from COP about this deal.
No CEO would do that (take that kind of risk), unless he or she is 100% certain that contingent liability no longer exist, otherwise he or she could become "personally liable".
Would you want to be personally liable for $500M?
