Thanks for the reply Sully. I had thought of that, and also another angle I thought of was that maybe the sellers were trying to keep their CGT obligation down for the financial year, or even just needed their invested funds for cashflow at this space in time, however given the opportunity with this stock, I thought there must have been more to it - perhaps I was trying to read more into it than was really there.
