When the media headlines come out all any investors or analysts seem to retain is "blah blah blah Sirtex Cancer Trial Fails Again To Increase Survival blah blah blah" and its reinforced by a dramatic fall in the share price without too much thought for why or what else might be in the report.
The share price is apparently driven primarily by TA and the fundamentals are only seen as a ceiling for the value rather than a base. That makes it a potential good value share for the more rational contrarian.
