This is extract from ASX announcement on 5th July 2016:
"In addition to the Earl Grey target, the Bounty target (on a granted Mining Lease) represents the largest and best-drilled pegmatite. There are over 18,000 drill holes making up this individual target including surface drilling and underground drill holes. Of these, 222 holes have intersected pegmatite, making this area an attractive target with abundant individual pegmatites. It is already known from observations of core and results received that there are several styles of pegmatite mineralisation and a thorough understanding of these pegmatites and their lithium content will result from detailed exploration work. The target area is 1.7km north-south and 600m east-west in size. Exploration of this target has begun to classify the various pegmatites already intersected and modelling their orientation and extent. Lithium results received to date are very encouraging; these results included 54.2m at 1.53% Li2O from 37.8m and 33.5m at 1.39% Li2O from 294m (see ASX Announcement 2nd of June 2016).
The Prince of Wales target (on a granted Mining Lease) lies 1km to the north of the Twinings group of open cut gold mines. Prince of Wales comprises 283 drill holes, of which 86 have intersected pegmatite. This target is 340m wide in an east-west direction and 2.2km long in the north-south direction. An initial approach to this target will be a shallow (10m) drilling program which is expected to intersect pegmatite within this zone, thereby providing a geological and geochemical foundation for on-going work."
I suggest every single KDR shareholder should go back to ASX announcement by KDR on 5th July 2016 to read the whole announcement, word by word, to get the full picture of the lithium potential at Earl Grey, Prince of Wales, Bounty, Texas. And if you look at the image above closely, you must notice that each of these 4 target areas already have multiple holes of intersection of lithium of more than 20m thick (indicated by Green dots) and close to surface at less than 5m (indicated by Yellow dots)
I believe KDR will move very quickly to the next set of drilling (while also progress on off-take negotiation, POS Lake Johnson option, other mining studies...) at:
- Early Grey:
> Further drilling to the east onto the tenements purchased from WSA. So far, we have drilled and found lithium literally right on the boundary with the previously WSA held tenements E77/1400 and E77/2099 which are now our land after the deal with WSA.
> Further drilling to the north where the exploration target of 70mil-100mil tons has been stated to increase confidence of this exploration target tonnages and upgrade it to resource category.
- Bounty:
> Remember that there are already 222 holes intersected pegmatite at the target, including 1 hole of 54.2m at 1.53% Li2O from 37.8m and another hole of 33.5m at 1.39% Li2O from 294m. What is very significant and interesting here is the hole that intersected 54.2m at 1.53% Li2O is at 37.8m from surface (very near surface). I suspect the reason why management did not drill Bounty over the last 12 months was because they already knew that most of the pegmatite extend significantly onto WSA tenement E77/2099 at the time. Now that we have purchased the tenement E77/2099 from WSA, we can go ahead and drill it.
- Prince of Wales:
> 86 have intersected pegmatite and many of them are more than 20m thick and close to surface. The drilling at this target was abruptly postponed during MZN opportunistic claim and for good reason as we all know.
- Texas:
> Again, many holes have intersected pegmatite of more than 20m thickness and close to surface. Striking: 6.3km. This could be a monster deposit.
My belief is all of the above 4 targets hold very real and substantial lithium, making Mt Holland as a whole by far the biggest lithium deposit on this planet. Total lithium resource could be somewhere around 500mil-600mil tons (compared to current resource of 128mil tons), about 4-5 times PLS resource. Just look at Earl Grey alone, if the exploration target of 70mil-100mil to the north, plus a very high possibility of further findings of lithium to the east onto the tenements E77/1400 and E77/2099 can be proven with further drilling, then total resource at Earl Grey alone can surpass 300mil tons.
Everyone as a shareholder of KDR should go back and read all ASX announcements in June and July 2016, word by word, picture by picture, to get an overview of this gigantic lithium deposit at Mt Holland.
