So many people seem to think that these types of negotiations can be completed in a short space of time. Yes it is dragging on but that's what happens when one party to the dispute isn't playing ball. Considering FAR's size they have to tread very carefully and make sure they are 100% correct in their plays on this.
I have no sympathy for WPL in these proceedings as while they are not a party to the dispute, they did go ahead and finalise the deal knowing that FAR had lodged a dispute with COP over the sale. You might think any reasonable person would say, hold on there, we're not handing over millions until we are sure of clear title. Pretty obvious they just hoped FAR would go away.
